Itasca State Park - Park Rapids, Minnesota
Exhibits at Minnesota’s first and largest
state park focus on Ojibwe Indians, the old growth pine ecosystem, park
establishment and early tourism, and the numerous Civilian Conservation
Corps projects at the park.
Saluda Shoals Environmental Center - Columbia, South Carolina
In the Environmental Center’s
3,500 square feet of exhibits are large dioramas about the wetland
and upland ecosystems, ferry boats, Catawba Indians and the building
of a nearby dam on the Saluda River.
Bosque Redondo Memorial - Fort Sumner, New Mexico
Telling stories of conflict
between cultures is always a challenge – especially
when decendents of each side are on the exhibit review committee. For
this project we worked with Navajo, Mescalero Apache and military historians.
Mueller State Park - Divide, Colorado
John Martin Reservoir State Park - Hasty, Colorado
These exhibits are all about terns, plovers and
bald eagles – their
migrations, behavior, nest building, calls and wingspans – with
a special focus on how well shorebirds can conceal their nests on a sandy
Lory State Park - Fort Collins, Colorado
Located where the grasslands meet the
foothills of the Rocky Mountains, the exhibits at Lory focus on biodiversity
and give visitors and a variety of things to discover, touch, listen
to and look for.
Valley of Fires Recreation Areas - Carrizozo, New Mexico
